Course Description: Introduces interpretations of federal American Indian law that forms the foundation of 21st-century understandings of tribal sovereignty. Provides a critical understanding of the legal implications of U.S. federal Indian policy, its re-interpretation of American Indian sovereignty and how to shape future policy and interests not only for Tribes and Nations but in the region, the state, and the Federal government.
